Automakers Emphasize Something For Everyone

“Freedom of choice, is what you got.” — Devo

After several years of going “all in” for electric vehicles, some automakers are re-evaluating both their vehicle lineups and messaging. Hybrid vehicles have emerged as the flexible solution offering the best of both worlds — a greener alternative with increased range without the need to worry about charging.

California still leads the country in terms of EV adoption so the Los Angeles Auto Show is the perfect place to examine what is shifting the consumer psyche.

At this conference we will consider:

  • What leads a consumer to make the leap away from a gas-powered vehicle and how can automakers support the shift?
  • How should automakers continue to accommodate consumers who are fully committed to only driving gas vehicles and what are some best practices for educating consumers on options?
  • What are the media channel implications for more diversified messaging?
  • As channels continue to fragment, what are new ways to engage consumers with more personalized appeals?

Keynote Q&A: Nissan Reveals Plans to Win Over Buyers
Since 2020, new car prices have risen by 30% which is making buying a new vehicle prohibitive to many. Shahani rejoined the automaker in January and is responsible for all sales and marketing activities for the Nissan brand in the U.S. and also has oversight of Infiniti Americas.
