Twitter owner Elon Musk has confirmed that the social video platform is working on developing a video app for smart TVs.

On Saturday, Musk responded to a user’s tweet suggesting that Twitter needs such a video app by tweeting back: “It’s coming.”

Musk did not offer any more specifics.

Last Thursday, Musk and his new CEO, Linda Yaccarino, told investors during a private call that Twitter plans to focus on video, creator and ecommerce partnerships to expand the platform's revenue channels beyond advertising, according to a presentation reviewed by Reuters.

The executives said Twitter is in early talks with political and entertainment figures, news and media publishers and payment services, according to an unnamed source who was in on the call.
