Hearst Magazines Names Daniel Pund EIC Of 'Road & Track'

Hearst Magazines has named Daniel Pund as editor in chief of Road & Track, overseeing content strategy and development across the brand’s print and digital platforms, effective immediately.  

The announcement was made by Hearst President and CEO Steven R. Swartz, Hearst Magazines President Debi Chirichella and Hearst Autos President and Chief Revenue Officer Nick Matarazzo. 

“Dan has spent three decades covering all things automotive,” Chirichella says. “His deep knowledge of the subject matter in a time of evolution, strong industry connections and rapport with the enthusiast audience will further Road & Track’s mission of automotive excellence.”

Pund has been executive editor of Road & Track since 2020, and previously had tenures as automotive editor, car reviewer and feature writer at Hearst Autos brands Autoweek and Car and Driver, as well as other publications. 

“I’m honored to take the wheel of this beloved brand,” Pund says. “This is a pivotal and exciting moment in the automotive industry, and I’m looking forward to building on the strong foundation of Road & Track and working with the talented team to usher it into its next phase.”
