New 'Wall Street Journal' Layoff Affects At Least 11 Staffers: Report

At least 11 people were victimized by a new round of layoffs at The Wall Street Journal, the Daily Beast reports.

Among those leaving were four producers on the visuals desk, two social media editors, two video journalists, a senior video journalist, a video producer, and one reporter, the Daily Beast writes.

Some of the affected video staffers were part of the Journal’s Journalists as Creators program, a partnership with Google, the Beast continues.

The layoffs have not been confirmed by the Journal.

Earlier this year, the Journal discharged nearly 20 employees in its Washington, D.C. bureau. Included was Brody Mullins, a Pulitzer Prize winner, the Beast adds.

In a separate development, reporter Will Feuer reportedly has left the Journal for a new opportunity elsewhere.
