UserWay’s analysis in “The Economic Impact of Inaccessibility” finds e-commerce websites lose roughly $16.8 million per year due to their lack of accessibility for people with disabilities.

According to the report, website designers should consider people with "invisible disabilities" such as vision loss or migraine headaches because these conditions can cause a person to lose their ability to engage with customized content, a feature used in many e-commerce sites according to UserWay's analysis of 1.4 million websites.
