PCH Consumer Insight's survey found that 40% of younger U.S. consumers ages 18 to 44 said they prefer to binge-watch a series when it's released, compared with only 29% of people ages 45 or older.

According to the report, 35% of younger viewers said their viewing preferences depended on the show, compared with 38% of the older group. The traditional practice of watching one show at a time every week, which is how many broadcast and cable series are released, is only preferred by 13% of younger viewers and 16% of older viewers.
