MDC Partners has tapped agency veteran Andre Coste to manage a new unit at the company dedicated to deploying resources to the company’s roster of advertising and marketing services
shops, the holding company confirmed Tuesday.
Coste, who has an international agency and business background, will also advise MDC shops looking to expand overseas.
The new unit
is called the MDC Partners Network. It is a corporate department that marshals an array of resources to company agencies, including human resources and PR support, as well as business development and
procurement efforts. Coste will oversee the unit as CFO. He’ll coordinate with agency executive teams and report directly to company CEO Miles Nadal, while working closely with company CFO David
Doft.
Most recently, Coste was global CFO of Publicis Worldwide, the creative ad shop and part of Publicis Groupe. Coste will relocate from Paris to New York to take on the new role.
Previously, Coste was CFO Asia-Pacific at Publicis Worldwide, based in Singapore. Before joining the agency in 2004, he spent more than eight years with business consultant Capgemini, capping
his run there as CFO of the company’s Nordic region, based in Stockholm.
Nadal said that Coste’s experience and expertise will ensure "we continue to help our [agencies]
optimize their efficiency, productivity and effectiveness — both for the work they deliver on behalf of marketers and for their own businesses.”
Coste stated that his new role
“will harness my expertise and allow me to support the growth of MDC agencies while assisting an ambitious organization as it expands internationally."
