Media shop Mindshare, a unit of WPP’s
GroupM, has poached Digitas’ Jordan Bitterman for the role of chief strategy officer, Mindshare North America, a new post at the agency.
At Digitas, Bitterman worked most recently as
senior vice president, North America lead for social, mobile and content. He is credited with helping to create the Digitas NewFront, where digital content providers showcased their new offerings,
much like the TV networks do at their upfront presentations.
The Digitas NewFront became part of the Digital Content NewFronts, now an annual event in the digital marketplace.
At
Mindshare, Bitterman’s responsibilities will include developing strategic plans related to the Mindshare brand in North America. He will also focus on key industry partnerships and emerging
technology and lead the communications planning, content and digital disciplines. New business development is also part of his purview, per the agency.

As chief strategy officer, Emery added, Bitterman “will harness distribution, content and technology to put real-time
adaptive solutions at our heart. This shows the scale of our ambition to be our clients’ lead marketing partner.”
