Adding to its array of traditional and digital networks, Scripps Networks Interactive is starting up an overarching new digital lifestyle video site, called ulive, with Ford Motor Co. as a launch
partner.
The ulive digital site will combine content and video from all Scripps’ TV-related brands -- HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel and Great
American Country.
Some 70 new original video series will eventually exist on the site coming from Scripps’ current on-air talent, as well as social media content providers and
bloggers.
Two new shows will launch today: “What Will the Maid Think?” from Bert Kreischer, host of The Travel Channel show “Trip Flip.” The show will offer
up hotel room pranks and the reactions of unsuspecting maids. “Bonkers Awesome!” from Joy the Baker, the widely popular food blogger and author, will explore new foods, people and
places.
Ford will be integrated into nine episodes with Scripps talent, which include videos showing how the brand connects to its customers' lives every day.
Jeff Meyer,
president of ulive, states: “It enables viewers to discover, watch and share what they love the most, across food, home, travel, parenting and wellness – and this is only the beginning of
the site’s capabilities and content.”
