Human Demand, a mobile demand-side platform (DSP), has announced a partnership with Semcasting, an audience targeting platform. The partnership will allow buyers using Human Demand's DSP to target Semcasting's audience, which relies on IP-based "zones" instead of cookies.
Howie Schwartz, founder and CEO of Human Demand, stated that he believes "one of the key elements … holding digital ad spend from shifting to mobile is the lack of third-party audience data, since mobile does not enable cookies at scale, especially in-app."
Both Human Demand's DSP and Semcasting's platform are focused on targeting audiences more than individuals.
