Leading ad industry associations this morning announced that former DMA chief Linda Woolley has been named president and CEO of TAG, a new joint-industry initiative to combat digital advertising fraud, malware, piracy and other unsavory practices they describe as “deficiencies in the digital communication supply chain.”
TAG (Trustworthy Accountability Group) is the new name for the initiative, which was originally named the Trustworthy Digital Supply Chain Initiative. Industry groups participating include the American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A’s), Association of National Advertisers (ANA), and Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB).
Woolley, who was a member of the Advertising Self-Regulatory Council’s board of directors from 2012 to 2014, previously was president-CEO of the Direct Marketing Association. Prior to that, she spent more than 30 years in public affairs, government relations and policy via her own firm, LegisLaw Consulting.
