Cross-device ad targeting firm Crosswise on Tuesday announced it has closed a $3 million Series A round of funding, AdExchanger has reported.
“The Tel Aviv-based startup … will use most of it on sales, marketing and breaking into new markets beyond the U.S. and UK, with China and Western Europe at the top of its list,” wrote AdExchanger.
“Although $3 million is a relatively modest sum when compared to the competition -- Tapad and Drawbridge, both founded in 2010, have collected $33.8 million and $20.5 million thus far, respectively -- Crosswise is a far newer addition to the cross-device scene,” the article continues.
Nielsen-backed private equity fund Pereg Ventures led the round, per AdExchanger. Other participants included ZhenFund, Emerge, Giza Venture Capital, OurCrowd and Horizons Ventuers.
AdExchanger notes that Crosswise has now raised a total of $5 million, as this $3 million Series A round joins a $2 million seed round the company pulled in at the beginning of 2014.
