Bill Wolfe was appointed today to the position of vice president, product management for mobile at Rubicon Project. Wolfe will lead the ad-tech company’s growing mobile development efforts.
He came from Clickatell, where he most recently served as chief strategy officer and general manager of its messaging business unit.
Before Clickatell, Wolfe was senior vice president at Verisign. Prior to that, he was chief technology officer at Openwave.
“As a majority of time spent shifts to mobile, and increasingly to in-app, we are increasing our investments in both the people and technology necessary to ensure we continue to shape the future of mobile consumer engagement,” chief product and engineering officer Tom Kershaw told Real-Time Daily via email.“ In this newly created position, Bill will play a key role in driving our in app product development strategy globally, just as consumer usage and brand dollars begin to significantly migrate away from desktop and mobile Web and into the app marketplace.”
