Accenture Interactive Launches First African Design Studio

Accenture Interactive is introducing the digital agency's first African studio under its design and innovation consultancy brand Fjord.

Fjord Johannesburg, Accenture Interactive's 28th design studio, will be led by Marcel Rossouw, serving as design director and studio lead. He will work out of the same location as its sister digital agency, whose client roster includes Alexander Forbes, Discovery, MultiChoice and Nedbank.

The studio will consist of a mix of existing creative professionals coming over from Accenture Interactive's Johannesburg operations, as well as accessing the global Fjord network and new hires.

This decision was driven both by client demand and to capitalize on potential opportunities in the continent, according to the company. "We also see our foray into Africa as an opportunity to capture an emerging market that is ripe for design and innovation and open for business," says Rossouw.

The studio opens in November.
