Quibi, the upcoming video streaming service founded by Jeffrey Katzenberg, has tapped Tom Conrad to serve as its Chief Product Officer.
In his new role, he will be responsible for the company’s product, research and support teams.
Conrad had been serving as an adviser to the company’s board since last year.
Previously, he was a vice president at Snap and the cofounder of the music streaming service Pandora.
Quibi is one of the most high-profile video launches in the world, having bankrolled $1 billion from investors ahead of its planned spring 2020 launch.
The company has recruited some big names from the world of entertainment, including former CAA agent Jim Toth and Janice Min, former co-prresiden-Chief Creative Officer of The Hollywood Reporter-Billboard Media Group, Meg Whitman, the former CEO of Hewlett Packard Enterprise, is the company's CEO.
