Kolb's McCann Worldgroup Team Starting To Come Together

Bill Kolb doesn’t officially take over as CEO of McCann Worldgroup until Jan. 1, but he’s already putting his stamp on the agency’s new leadership team.

Suzanne Powers has been elevated to Global President at the agency network, adding to her ongoing duties as Chief Strategy Officer. She’s tasked with driving the company’s brand both inside and outside the organization which includes “continuing to cultivate best-in-class work while driving the cultural and business transformation necessary to modernize all of the offerings for clients and prospects alike.” 

Kolb noted her “ability to interpret and develop new models of innovation will be critical for Worldgroup and essential as we seek to accelerate our ability to create growth opportunities for our clients.” 

Separately, McCann marketing unit MRM has appointed Ronald Ng executive vice president and Global Chief Creative Officer, who will be based at the agency’s New York office. Ng moves to MRM from his role as Global Chief Creative Officer at Isobar, part of dentsu. 

Earlier the agency confirmed that Grant Theron would succeed Kolb in the role of CEO for Commonwealth//McCann, the agency network’s dedicated unit for Chevrolet.
