Audacy Ups Williamson, Cassidy To Key Posts

Multiplatform audio content and entertainment company Audacy has promoted two staffers to top management positions.

Rachel Williamson has been named president, local sales strategy and innovation. Kevin Cassidy succeeds her as senior vice president-marketing manager of Audacy Chicago.
The company is aligned with 900+ live and local news, talk, sports and music stations nationwide, as well as thousands of podcasts. It says it engages 200 million consumers each month.
Williamson will report to Brian Benedik, chief revenue officer, while Cassidy will report to Brian Purdy, regional president.

Benedik called Williamson's leadership and expertise a "tremendous asset" to the company.

Previously, Williamson served as regional president for Audacy, overseeing its Chicago, Madison, Milwaukee and Minneapolis markets. Before that, she worked at Cox Media Group, Gamut and Cumulus.

Cassidy, prior to leading Audacy's New Orleans unit, was the general sales manager of its music brands in Dallas. Past posts include president of D&R radio sales and a tenure at iHeart and Interep.

Audacy reported 2022 revenues of $1.25 billion, up 3% from 2021.
