Verizon Pushes Post-Holiday Offers For Phones, Streamers

Verizon has debuted two new ad spots.

The first shows a stressed father overwhelmed by the family's phone bills. A second Spanish-language spot features a family as they debate cutting certain entertainment options to save costs.

In both cases, the mothers intervene to say there are benefits and savings to Verizon’s myPlan.

The spots, which run on cable during NBA and NFL games, highlight offers that start at $25 per line, guaranteed for three years, as well as streaming Netflix and Max for only $10 a month.

The two spots are Drama King and BYOD in Spanish. Ogilvy created "Drama King," while The Community (Verizon’s Latino AOR) did "BYOD."

The work is part of an ongoing push by the telecom company to highlight services.

Early next year, the campaign will focus on different customer segments and communications solutions.
