Following yesterday’s official launch/rebranding of Paramount’s Showtime TV network to Paramount+ with Showtime, DirecTV is expanding its offering to customers who subscribe to the channel.

DirecTV, DirecTV Stream and U-verse customers who pay for Paramount+ with Showtime will soon be given free access to the Paramount+ app and all of its content at no additional charge.

In addition to access to the premium linear channel, a subscription to Paramount+ with Showtime through DirecTV includes 10 Showtime multiplex channels, including TMC and Flix, and Paramount+ with Showtime On Demand.

Paramount launched a new, ad-free streamer merging Showtime and Paramount content last June, announcing it would phase out the existing, separate Showtime streamer by the end of 2023 — at which time the brands’ linear offerings would also be merged and rebranded to Paramount+ with Showtime.

The Showtime Anytime app shut down on Dec. 14, 2023.

“You can stream Paramount+ with Showtime content on the DirecTV app. And soon you’ll have access to the Paramount+ app” using DirecTV login credentials, DirecTV is now informing customers on its website.
