SJC Media, publisher of such Canadian media brands as Chatelaine and Maclean's, has selected the Optable platform to help it harness data and protect reader privacy.
Optable describes itself as a software-as-a-service (SaaS) data collaboration and clean room platform. The firm’s technology supports first-party cookies and activation through the Privacy Sandbox, the Google initiative to improve privacy, it says.
"We believe in putting privacy first, strengthening our roots in first-party data, and fostering genuine collaboration," says Michael Gagliano, vice president, audience & commerce, SJC Media.
Gagliano adds, “Through this new partnership, we're not just offering better advertising solutions – we're setting a new standard for responsible and effective advertising practices."
"Putting privacy first, taking the lead in first-party data, and fostering agile collaboration are absolutely essential right now," adds Vlad Stesin, co-founder and CSO at Optable.
SJC Media, a division of SJC, a media and marketing company, is also home to such brands as Canadian Business, FASHION, HELLO! Canada, Today's Parent and Toronto Life.
