Amanda Mull, formerly a staff writer at The Atlantic, is joining Bloomberg Businessweek as a senior reporter to cover the intersection of culture and commerce.  

Mull wrote The Atlantic’s Material World column. Prior to that, she served as managing editor of PurseBlog.com. 

In a note to the staff, Editor Brad Stone and Senior Features Editor Danielle Sacks said that “as senior reporter at the newly-relaunched Businessweek, Amanda will deploy her sharp eye and discerning voice in columns and feature stories exploring consumer trends, idiosyncratic brands and cultural obsessions.” 

In her Atlantic column, Mull “wrote about everything from the underbelly of free returns to the HGTV-ification of the American home,” they noted.
