Interpublic continues to morph the management structure of the IPG Media Lab, naming David Rosenberg managing partner, responsible for the lab’s daily operations. Rosenberg, who reports to IPG Mediabrands Chief Innovation Officer Quentin George, joins from a brief stint as director of innovation at tech-focused start-up agency LBi, and before that as head of the emerging media team and WPP’s JWT New York unit.
Interpublic said Rosenberg will partner with Chad Stoller, who also continues to have the title of managing partner of the lab, and who will be responsible for “developing revenue streams that will enable the IPG Media Lab to grow and continue to produce programming that will enhance the services it provides to clients, partners and the IPG network.”
The announcement made no mention of Reuben Steiger, whom Interpublic hired in March 2007 to serve as managing director of the lab alongside then co-managing director Brian Monahan (now head of Interpublic’s Magna Global unit). Steiger, who oversaw the development of the New York lab facility before it was opened, continues to list his title as managing director of the lab on his LinkedIn profile, but Interpublic insiders say he left the agency holding company in October to pursue a similar role building a state-of-the-art new media lab for another organization.
