For a limited time, bottles of Brisk Iced Tea bearing Microsoft tags (M-Tags) will enable purchasers to unlock content in an Xbox game.
Specifically, the tag unlocks an exclusive Anakin Podracer experience in the new "Kinect" Star Wars game.
The special bottles bear a gold cap and graphics of Star Wars's R2-D2 and C-3PO characters. In April, they are available ony at participating 7-Elevens; in May and June they will be available in all retail outlets that sell 1-liter sizes of Brisk.
The promotion is an extension of a cross-promotion partnership that began with the January theatrical release of the 3D version of "Star Wars: Episoe I The Phantom Menace." That promotion included a Brisksaber mobile app that enabled smartphone users to view lightsaber battles, supported by Darth Maul packaging and a TV spot featuring a battle between Darth Maul and Yoda.
Brisk recently announced that its annual retail sales have surpassed $1 billion, and that its Facebook likes now exceed 1 million.
