Self-serve frozen yogurt chain Yogurtland has launched a "Flavor Quest" promotion featuring a "Flavor Finder" app and humorous adventure videos.
The promotion spotlights the chain's quest for exotic ingredients and flavors, such as Maqui Berry Tart from Patagonia; Tiramisu from Italy; Polynesian Vanilla from the French Polynesian islands; Spiced Chai from India; Crème Brulée from France; Sticky Toffee Pudding from England; POG Sorbet from Hawaii; Bananas Foster from New Orleans; Mexican Hot Chocolate from Mexico and Black Sesame Vanilla from Japan.
The smartphone app enables consumers to find the flavors they crave at a Yogurtland nearby.
The videos, on YouTube, chronicle the travels of Yogurtland's "flavorologist" as he searches the globe for new taste sensations.
Yogurtland will offer these global flavors over a three-month period, giving guests a chance to earn free yogurt by scanning the QR codes of the Flavor Quest destinations posted inside its stores.
Founded in 2006, Yogurtland -- which offers frozen yogurt made from California milk and premium toppings -- now has more than 200 locations across the U.S., Guam, Mexico, Venezuela and Australia. More than 50 additional locations are scheduled to open over the next six months.
