Quantcast And 4A's to Pile More People on the Programmatic Bandwagon With Training Course

Programmatic got you down? Confused over the opportunities? Wondering just what the hell programmatic is and how it can help your agency or brand? Well, Quantcast and the 4A's are here to help. Quantcast and the 4As have teamed up to announce a partnership that will bring 4As members access to training and education resources aimed at keeping members up to date on the ever-changing world of programmatic advertising.

The Programmatic Workshop -- free to 4A members -- will be powered by Quantcast's existing industry training program called the Real-time Advertising (RTA) Academy.

Of the partnership, 4A's EVP of Media Relations Bill Tucker said: "The 4As is excited to partner with Quantcast to continue to bring our members top-notch educational training. Programmatic advertising is a hot topic, and there's a real need for education. People who are hands-on doing programmatic every day know it well, but their colleagues in other disciplines may need a crash course to be able to talk the talk."

Even with the explosive growth of programmatic, real-time advertising still isn't well understood by many industry professionals. The RTA Academy was first launched in 2013 as part of Quantcast's annual "Quantathon" -- an employee hackathon -- created to address the knowledge gap across media buying professionals.

Adding his two cents, Quantcast Co-Founder and CEO Konrad Feldman said: "Programmatic digital display advertising spend is set to reach $27 billion by 2017 and is driving marketers' appetite to understand the opportunity. We're excited to extend Quantcast's Real-Time Academy industry courses through this partnership with the 4A's. Together, we will educate marketers on this rapidly evolving digital landscape, helping them to understand how they can employ these new tools and services our industry has to offer."

The training program will be a self-paced sort of thing that will introduce participants to the fundamentals of digital advertising. The courses, designed for advertising professionals at any stage of their career, will provide a detailed understanding of the digital advertising industry and programmatic ecosystem.

To date, the Academy has trained more than 3,000 professionals throughout 200 events in nine countries.
