The streaming music service Spotify has removed a handful of podcasts from the conspiracy-driven radio host Alex Jones, citing its policy on “hate content.”
However, Jones’ entire channel was not removed from the service.
In a statement to Recode, a Spotify spokesperson said that “We take reports of hate content seriously and review any podcast episode or song that is flagged by our community.”
Jones, who spreads conspiracy theories about mass shootings, government conspiracies and other similar content, has seen his accounts on numerous social media sites flagged for their content.
Last week he had his Facebook account suspended for violating the site’s policy, and YouTube disabled his ability to broadcast live and removed some of his videos over their content.
