Priday Steps Down As Dentsu Global CFO, Succeeded By His Predecessor

Dentsu has confirmed that long-time company veteran Nick Priday has stepped down as global CFO of the company. He is succeeded by Arinobu Soga who is returning to the role — he was Priday’s predecessor.

Priday was appointed to the role in November 2022 after serving as CFO at Dentsu International, then the umbrella unit for all Dentsu holdings outside Japan. Priday was the first executive who was not Japanese to hold the global CFO role.

Priday joined the firm through its acquisition of Aegis Group in 2013. He joined Aegis in 2003 and was named Group CFO in 2009.

Soga will retain his role as global chief governance officer as he steps back into the CFO post. He is a 36-year-veteran of the company, having joined in 1988.
