Leap Into QSR Savings Feb. 29

Sooo cute: the Leapling Doughnut, a green-frosted frog face goodie.

The once every four years extra Leap Day has inspired restaurants to add some creative one-day-only promos for customers. In addition to Chipotle, here are others getting into the Leap Day spirit (if that is a thing).

Chuck E. Cheese is offering free All-Day Jump Passes for customers to try the new Trampoline Zone on Feb 29. The Zone, now available at over 100 “fun centers” nationwide, is part of the chain’s $300 million remodel initiative, created to address “active play needs of young children that improve their cognitive, physical, social and emotional well-being,” per a release from the chain.

Krispy Kreme is giving customers a dozen Original Glazed doughnuts for just $2.29 with the purchase of any regularly priced dozen on the 29th. Does Leap Day happen to be your birthday? You’ll receive a free Original Glazed dozen, no purchase required.

At French café la Madeleine, customers can buy one Oatmeal Raisin or Chocolate Chunk Cookie and get one free on Feb. 29. The all-day offer is only good in-store.

Customers of VooDoo Doughnut can try the chain’s new creation: the Leapling Doughnut, available on Feb. 29 while supplies last. Per the company, the doughnut is “more than just a limited time treat; it’s a tribute to those born on February 29, affectionately known as leaplings.” The frog-shaped doughnut is filled with Bavarian cream and decorated with a bright-green-frosted frog face.

In honor of Wendy’s four-year anniversary serving breakfast, the chain is celebrating the milestone on Leap Day by offering customers a free Cinnabon Pull-Apart treat during breakfast hours, while supplies last. The food chain has partnered with Cinnabon to add the baked good to their breakfast menu, and it is available nationwide during breakfast hours beginning this week.
