Tremor Video today launched VideoHub Connect, a demand-side platform (DSP) available through VideoHub's advertising platform, VideoHub for Advertisers. The DSP's initial video inventory supply partners include DoubleClick Ad Exchange, LiveRail, SpotXchange, and the Tremor Video media network.
Speaking at OMMA Global this morning, VideoHub General Manager Anthony Risicato claimed that the new DSP is unique because of the company's background in analytics. "VideoHub is an analytics platform at its heart," he said. He called VideoHub Connect the "take action" piece of the platform, meaning that it's meant to help data-driven advertisers buy inventory.
"You see what works. You see what's highly viewable. You understand whats driving real marketing KPIs," Risicato said. "[Then] you can buy in a DSP kind of way. You can buy that inventory that's more likely to meet those goals." He called programmatic and analytics two things that must go hand in hand.
Risicato also hinted in his OMMA Global presentation that an additional goal of launching VideoHub Connect is to get larger brand marketers "more comfortable" with programmatic and online video.
VideoHub Connect can be licensed as a standalone buying and analytics feature or as an integrated feature of the full VideoHub for Advertisers stack, the company wrote in the release.
