Tremor Video, a programmatic video ad tech company, on Wednesday announced the launch of a supply-side platform (SSP) for video.
Tremor claims that over 40 premium publishers are signed up to use its new SSP, including Bonnier Corp, USA Today Sports and Young Hollywood.
Several of the publishers, including Bonnier and USA Today Sports, have been working with Tremor to sell video ads for many years. And while other video SSPs and video marketplaces exist in the market -- including Google’s, whose publisher partners were named last week -- Tremor contends its position as a video-focused company that has been in business for 10 years is what sets it apart.
“Tremor Video has a successful track record of working with premium video publishers and we believe we understand their needs better than platforms that come from a display and direct-response world,” stated Manish Jha, president of publisher platforms.
The announcement comes several months after Tremor tapped Laura Buchman as VP of publisher sales, where she was tasked with striking partnerships for the SSP. In addition, the SSP rounds out Tremor’s offerings, as the company launched a similar platform for the demand side, dubbed VideoHub Connect, in 2013.
Tremor now has an SSP and a DSP in addition to the media business? Sounds like what they need to add is focus
