Hub Strategy and Communication has appointed Mike Reese president, a new role at the agency. 

Reese’s remit includes new business development, managing client accounts, overseeing operations and building out new practice areas. He’ll manage a team of 20 full-time staffers and a network of over 100 freelancers. 

"Our desire for growth goes beyond what [partner/CD] Peter [Judd] and I could do alone,” said DJ O'Neil, the agency’s CEO and creative director.  This hire arms the agency with another senior leader to keep things moving along as we maneuver through the next stage of our evolution." 

Most recently Reese was president of Y&R San Francisco and earlier in his career, he ran New York-based agency BrandBuzz.

"Mike's big agency experience combined with our scrappy independent approach will make a very strong offering for clients ready to ditch the holding company way," says O'Neil. "Plus it should free me up to do the stuff I really care about like long walks on the beach and enforcing our agency's jargon neutral footprint."
