This interview reminded me of when I worked at the Omega Bookstore this past summer. We had a bit of a Music War going on. Younger male store associates sometimes chose to break the repetitive monotony of some recorded CDs we sold by streaming their own playlists. Then a customer complained. Over time I became a proxy for whether music was acceptable because I fit the demographic of the typical Omega Institute customer. Just like Mikey, if Laurie liked it, it must be ok.
