• RONALD SCHNEIER will leave his position as executive vice president of sales and marketing at A&E Television on March 31st. WHITNEY GOIT, executive vice president of A&E Televison Networks, will take over.
  • ROSALIND RESNICK, CEO of NetCreations, plans to retire from the email marketing company she co-founded nearly seven years ago. The decision, which will take effect at year's end, was prompted by the desire to pursue other business opportunities and spend more time with family.
  • DON TENNANT, advertising industry and creative branding legend, passed away at his family's Los Angeles home late Saturday evening. Known for creating brand icons like Tony the Tiger, the Pillsbury Doughboy, and The Marlboro Man, Tennant spent his career crafting creative strategy for the world's leading global brands including Kellogg's, Nestle, Green Giant, Pillsbury, Keebler, Campbell's Soup, United Airlines and Proctor & Gamble.
  • MARTY SCHAFFEL has been named to MarketSmart Technologies' Board of Directors. Schaffel also serves on the Board of Directors of Cineventures and the AmSouth Regional Advisory Board.
  • CANDIA HERMAN has been named advertising director of NYLON magazine. Prior to joining NYLON, Herman served as the executive beauty editor of Jane magazine.
  • TED CRADDOCK has been named Regional Sales Manager for Ask Jeeves' Southwestern Region. Previously he was the General Manager for the Business Solutions Division of the Vendare Group. Also joining Ask Jeeves' Southwestern Sales Team is DOUG NEIMAN as Senior Account Executive and MONNIE FANNING as AE. Neiman was formally at Excite@Home. Fanning was at Creative Television Marketing.
  • ROBERT H. KELLY has been named Publisher at Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine. Kelly, a veteran of two decades of advertising sales management in New York, has been vice president for sales (Northeast region) at BusinessWeek since 1995.
  • ANDREW WILD has been appointed VP marketing and will manage all marketing and product marketing for Euphonix, Inc. For the last two years he was CEO of DSP Media, an Australian based digital audio workstation company.
  • DERIC EMRY, a general partner with ABS Capital Partners, has joined Captivate Network's board of directors. In addition to Captivate, Emry serves on the board of directors of ABS portfolio companies Octave Communications and Simplexity, Inc., and plays an active role with NeuStar, Inc. and Broadbeam Corp.
  • MARTIN MAZNER has joined Atomz as vice president of Sales and Marketing. He has held executive marketing and sales positions in Internet publishing and e-commerce, software marketing, media publishing, and advertising -- working with companies such as Ziff-Davis Publishing Company, Ashton-Tate, ComputerWare and the ForeFront Group.
