SCOTT FRIEDLANDER has joined Stratus Media as East Coast sales manager. He will be overseeing East Coast sales and contributing to the company’s overall sales and marketing efforts. 

CHARLIE BARRETT has been named vice president of sales and marketing for Webshots, an online photo sharing Web site that is part of CNET Networks, Inc. Barrett was most recently vice president of sales at Friendster, a social networking site.

GM Planworks, a division of Starcom MediaVest Group and the media planning, buying and research unit dedicated to General Motors (GM), named MIKE ROSEN its chief investment officer. JENNIFER SHAW will also join the agency as senior vice president/managing director of the Video Investment Group. Rosen joins the agency from GM Mediaworks, having served as senior vice president/manager. Shaw also joins the company from GM Mediaworks, where she was responsible for all aspects of GM’s network and cable sports activity as senior vice president/manager.

LINDA SAWYER has been named chief executive officer at Deutsch. DONNY DEUTSCH will relinquish his title of CEO and remain on as Chairman. In addition, KATHY DELANEY and VAL DIFEBO have been named co-presidents for Deutsch New York and ERIC HIRSHBERG and MIKE SHELDON were named co-presidents for Deutsch LA.

JENNIFER BUSSELL has been named strategy director at Euro RSCG 4D New York. Most recently, she provided marketing consulting services to Citigroup.

Kanoodle has named DOUGLAS L. KNEPPER as vice president of business development. Knepper will be responsible for developing relationships with publishers and media companies.

IRENE B. BRODERICK has been named national sales manager for Ser Padres magazine. Since 2002, Broderick was the account manager for Parents magazine. She has also held sales positions at Better Homes and Gardens and Men’s Fitness.

BILL WALDMAN has been promoted to Detroit Manager of Golf Magazine. Waldman joined the magazine’s Detroit sales office in 2004 as account executive. Prior to that, he was advertising manager for General Motors’ Cadillac division.

icrossing has hired NOAH ELKIN, Ph.D., as senior analyst relations manager. He joins the company from eMarketer, where he wrote about emerging technologies.

TAXI Canada has named YVES BLAIN as its vice president, relationship marketing. Prior to joining TAXI, Blain worked at FCB Canada with clients such as Air Canada/Aeroplan, Fido, CIBC, Rona, L'Oreal Paris and SAQ.
