    Philips Electronics has placed its global media buying and strategy account in review. The account is valued at $600 million. Incumbent agency Carat will defend.
  • VIA Group - HP Hood
    The VIA Group has been named agency of record for HP Hood. A newly launched campaign is composed of two 15-second TV spots, a print ad and online components. The TV ads target moms and update the look and feel of the Hood brand. The account is valued at $2 million.
  • PUSH
    Kissimmee Investors Limited has retained PUSH for research, branding and integrated communications services for its prototype green community concept. In addition, Baggage Airlines Guest Services, a service that allows consumers to bypass airport check-in and eliminate transporting bags from a cruise ship or hotel to the airport, tapped the agency for consumer insights and a re-branding campaign. The accounts are collectively valued at $2.5 million.
  • Baskin-Robbins
    Baskin-Robbins has placed the creative portion of its $12 million account in review. The brand recently split with its creative agency, VitroRobertson.
  • Takara Sake USA - Colby and Partners
    Takara Sake USA has hired Dentsu's Colby and Partners to launch Kissui, a Japanese vodka made from rice. The assignment includes online, print, public relations and event marketing. The product will be sold in select cities on the West Coast before the holidays and will expand distribution throughout 2007. Budget is under $1 million.
  • Danone - Mediaedge:cia
    Danone has appointed Mediaedge:cia as its media agency, following a four-way pitch that included MPG, OMD and incumbent Carat. The UK pitch started in July and was the second largest media pitch this year in the UK. The account is valued at 40 million pounds.
  • PJA Advertising & Marketing - iCAD
    iCAD has selected PJA Advertising & Marketing as its agency of record. PJA will handle media planning and buying for the company. Spending was not released.
  • UCONN Health Center - Mintz & Hoke
    UCONN Health Center has selected Mintz & Hoke Communications Group to develop a strategic communications program, which includes market research, a new positioning and an advertising campaign. This marks the first time in 10 years that UCONN Health Center has partnered with an outside firm for a major marketing initiative. Billings were not disclosed. The campaign includes TV, print and mall advertising.
  • NETexponent - Wine Enthusiast
    The Wine Enthusiast has selected NETexponent to manage, optimize, and grow affiliate marketing and media partnership programs for its e-commerce site WineEnthusiast.com.
  • Euro RSCG - Boniva
    Euro RSCG has been awarded advertising duties on Boniva, an osteoporosis drug. Saatchi & Saatchi Consumer previously handled the account. The account is valued at $70 million.
