Goodyear, Crunch Fitness, Adidas, Kraft Focus On Fools

Goodyear, Crunch Fitness, Adidas and Kraft are some of the brands getting in on April Fools' Day fun.

Goodyear has created a social media effort for its faux SkyGrip blimp tires, perfect for anyone who happens to own a blimp. “They’re like regular tires, but with more altitude,” says the video. The video ends with the disclaimer “The Goodyear SkyGrip is a figment of our April Fools' imagination. Please keep your blimps parked and your feet on the ground.”

Crunch Fitness is launching Thoga, a yoga class for thumbs, on its Crunch+ digital platform.  “In the days of endless scrolling, our thumbs are working out harder than ever,” according to the company. “It’s time for thumbs to get the relaxation they deserve through Crunch’s Thoga video class.”

Adidas, meanwhile, got a jump on the day last week with the unveiling of The Box Shoe.

“The Adidas Confirmed app now features a product page showcasing what can only be described as a shoe-shaped box,” reports Times of India. “The blue Adidas box is cleverly positioned upside down, with its lid serving as the sole and a cut-out flap forming an opening resembling a tongue. Thick laces are humorously stitched onto the emitting surface area above the foot, completing the playful design.”

Two brands, Fruity Pebbles cereal and Kraft Mac & Cheese, have dreamed up a savory and sweet match made in heaven.  Inspired by fans’ wacky Fruity Pebbles recipes, the cereal brand has teamed up with America’s original and favorite comfort food to introduce a first-of-its-kind fruity mac & cheese featuring the flavor and colors of Fruity Pebbles.

The “launch” will be shared on both brands’ Instagram channels on April Fools' Day.

Duolingo and SeatGeek are also collaborating on a marketing stunt, “Duolingo on Ice,” the world’s first multilingual musical. The fake show’s 90-second trailer will premiere on April 1, and tickets for shows around the globe will be listed exclusively on www.seatgeek.com/duolingo. However, this show is a bit too magical to be real, so as a consolation, fans will receive an offer for one free month of Super Duolingo and $20 off their next SeatGeek purchase with code APRILFOOLS2024.

Jerry, the app that helps car owners manage “all things car” such as insurance and repairs, is launching its "Get Jerried" service that allows car lovers to “make it official” or marry their vehicle.

“With the support of Jerry’s virtual AI officiant, licensed to Jerry in all 50 U.S. states, car lovers can seal the deal from the comfort of their own driveway, at their preferred parking venue, or at a road trip destination of their choosing,” according to the company in a press release.
