Two distinctly different brands that share the same name have come together to celebrate National Pet Day with a promo for customers of both brands, as well as their dogs.  

Pizza chain Hungry Howie's has partnered with dog treat maker Happy Howie’s on a “secret menu” for National Pet Day. Beginning on the holiday April 11 and available while supplies last, Hungry Howie’s customers can order special pairings that deliver both pizza for people and Happy Howie’s treats for their four-legged companions.

“National Pet Day is the perfect excuse to spoil the pets who are always by our side,” said Jennifer Jackson, vice president of public relations for Hungry Howie's, in a statement. “Partnering with Happy Howie's allows us to create a fun way for our guests to enjoy their favorite pizza while also treating their furry companions to something special.”

In order to access the secret menu, Hungry Howie’s customers must order online, in the app or by scanning an in-store QR codes. The menu offers three different options: the Pup & Roll Combo contains a $5 Pepperoni Howie Roll along with a packet of Happy Howie's Dog Treats with code “pupnroll”; the Bone Appétit Pack Party has a $15 large one-topping pizza, Howie Bread with dipping sauce and a packet of Happy Howie's Dog Treats with code “boneparty”; and Howie's Bark-Back Add-On, which for $5 gets two packets of Happy Howie's Dog Treats with code “barkback.”

Privately held Hungry Howie’s currently operates over 500 locations across 19 U.S. states, adding multiple locations in Texas, Indiana and Michigan in 2025. The chain specializes in flavored crust pizza, offering eight different option:  butter, asiago cheese, Cajun, butter cheese, sesame, garlic herb, ranch and Italian herb.
