Havas Media has been appointed by Spain’s tourism body TURESPAÑA
to handle media planning and buying duties to promote Spain as a tourist destination across international markets.
The appointment follows a competitive pitch. Other contenders were not
disclosed.

The contract will run for an initial two-year period, with a total value estimated at $40 million. There are options to extend the contract for up
to an additional three years.
As part of the remit, Havas Media will be responsible for leading media strategy and activation across Europe, North America, Central and South
America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
Ferran Juaní, Managing Director of Havas International is the Client Lead on the account.
The win follows news earlier this month that
Tourism Madrid selected Havas as its new advertising and communications agency following a separate pitch. The assignment includes creative and media.
