Publicis Groupe has nominated Microsoft Chief
Scientist and Technical Fellow Jaime Teevan to serve as an independent board member for a four-year term. A vote on her nomination will take place at the company’s annual meeting on May
27.
A 20-year Microsoft veteran, Teevan is responsible for driving innovation in the company’s core products. She led the creation of the
AI-driven chatbot M365 Copilot and invented the first personalized search algorithm used by Bing. She also coordinated the company’s hybrid work research during the pandemic.

Teevan
holds a Ph.D. in AI from MIT and a B.S. from Yale and is an affiliate professor at the University of Washington. Her specialties include productivity, artificial intelligence, human-computer
interaction, machine learning, data mining, and personalized search.
She was named to Time's inaugural list of the 100 most influential people in artificial intelligence in
2023.
Prior to her current role at Microsoft, she served as technical advisor to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella.
