Absolut Vodka put itself on the advertising map with its
“Absolut Perfection” campaign, created by TWBA in 1981.
The work, which has featured Andy Warhol, Zooey Deschanel and Ryan Reynolds, now showcases pop queen
Madonna.
The agency behind the creative is Special Offer, which also crafted the visuals for her new album “Confessions II.” The new creative – “Absolut
Icon” — shows Madonna wearing her iconic purple corset bodysuit, originally worn during her 2006 Grammy Awards performance.
The campaign runs on out-of-home, print and social. The
partnership between Absolut and Madonna extends beyond the ad campaign to recognize their longtime support for the LGBTQ+ community.
That will include charitable donations, activations in
bars, clubs and nightlife venues and surprise drops in the coming weeks. Absolut Icon visuals will appear in wild postings nationwide along Pride parade routes in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and
San Francisco.

“Madonna continuously moves culture forward through fearless self-expression, making this partnership feel both incredibly authentic and deeply meaningful for
Absolut,” said Caroline Begley, vice president of marketing at Pernod Ricard USA, Absolute's parent company.
The liquor brand is also promoting Absolut Madonna, the
singer’s favorite cocktail. The spicy lemon drop martini is made with Absolut Tabasco -- and, like the Material Girl herself, known for its fiery elements.
Special
Offer’s creative work includes H&M, Louis Vuitton and Nike.
